Our Beginning

The founder of My Silky.org is a Chinese-reverted Muslim ( Malaysian ), she realizes behind all the beautiful muslimahs styling their hijab, they share a common struggle but never really talk about it because covering the hair is also part of worship for the Muslim lady - the receding hairline, flat hair, excessive hair loss, fizzy hair, and damaged hair which caused by the long hour of hair being wrapped in. 

Our founder who is also a hijabi and facing the same struggles as others, says: ''As much as we want to please Allah SWT by abiding by the hijab, we also want to feel pleased by ourselves at home when we are not wearing the hijab. When looking in the mirror and seeing my receding hairline and damaged hair, I just hated myself. Hair is the greatest accessory a women have, healthy and silky smooth hair instantly elevates the beauty of the person. I want to feel beautiful when I go out ( wearing hijab ), and also feel beautiful when at home ( not wearing hijab ). ''

With that in her mind, she thinks... Ehhh why not we start wearing silk inner? Silk is good for hair lah !!! Excited and motivated by this idea, that is how My Silky journey begins and inshallah it will continue for years to come.

• To be able to have the very first silk farm in Malaysia to start supplying silk fabric to other countries, with this we can provide more jobs for the farmers in Malaysia.
